HOW WE TEACH REFLEXOLOGY AT IIR
We teach Reflexology in a two-day course. Of course
you cant learn Reflexology in two days, but you can
teach it in two days, and thats how weve been
doing it for the last 60 years, all over the world.
The way it works is - you take the two-day class, which is
theoretical and practical, with students working on each other,
and you learn as much as you can - which is enough to get
started. Then you go out and practice on your friends
and relatives for a few months, then come back and take the
same class over again - for considerably less money. When
you come back youll learn some of the stuff you missed
the first time and see whats wrong with your technique
and get that corrected. And then you go out and practice
some more.
The first time you attend the class we consider it Phase
I and the second time you attend its Phase II. You
may do several Phase II courses, and if you do youll
learn something each time you attend.
Once youve mastered the basics of Reflexology, we have
another two-day course we call the Advanced Proficiency course. There
youll learn Hand Reflexology and some ways to be more
effective with your Foot Reflexology.
For certification, we require that students complete at least
two of the basic Phase I/Phase II courses, and at least one
of the Advanced Proficiency courses, and that they have documented
100 sessions of Reflexology work - with at least 15 people
who got at least 4 sessions each as part of the 100. Then
they can take the Certification test, which is a written and
a practical test.
Depending on how aggressively you pursue your training, it
will take you 6 months to two years to achieve certification,
and cost you a little over $1000. But youll be
working on people from the completion of the first class.
